Meet the Horses:
Randy the Appaloosa is our "puppy-dog" gelding. He is a goofball and lovessss attention, and has been one of the core members of our operation for quite awhile. He knows and loves his job well.
Arrow used to be a barrel horse, making him a really responsive and easy to move around gelding. He is a very smooth horse- great for any rider! His favorite spot in the pack is to be our caboose, he loves following his friends along on the trail.
Larry is an awesome horse for kids, adults, anyone! He is a smart guy who has a lot of ranch experience and will take great care of you.
Our young, beautiful, and talented dappled grey Azteca mare is proving to be a great addition to our team! She is a favorite of both our wranglers and our guests with a little more experience!
Franky was one of the first members of team CCT. He has a heart of gold and has been our reliable main man as this amazing business has grown. We are so thankful he continues to take such great care of riders as a solid all around horse.
Tonka is game for all adventures. He is brave, athletic, and a natural leader. Tonka has a forward pace, loves to cover any terrain, and can even do some fancy tricks!
Ginger is Brian’s trusty guide horse and has been his main mount since 2016. We are excited to have a draft cross foal expected from her in spring 2027, and are looking forward to carrying on the legacy of one of the most legendary mares in our operation.
Mustang Mammoth is a sweet teddy bear guy, with his stunning buckskin coloring to boot, he is a gem of a gelding in our operation. Strong on the trail, but still gentle enough to show beginners the ropes.
JR. is one of our stronger geldings, and an all-around gentleman! His unique blue roan paint coloring makes him easy to spot, and he continues to prove himself dependable and kind.
‘Cash’ is a longtime CCT favorite, he is a super beautiful tall & athletic draft cross gelding. You can usually find him at the front of the group, and sometimes he will smile for you after a ride!
Bruno is a LOOKER! He is our version of Merida from 'Brave's' horse, Angus. A lovebug on the ground and in the saddle, you don't want to miss out on a ride with Bruno!
Pecos is our tiny-but-mighty mustang. He is super smart and steady, a favorite in the herd... and he is ALWAYS looking for treats!
Goliath is a powerhouse draft-cross gelding. He is very beautiful and sweet, a super fun choice for an adventurous and memorable ride!
Danny is a kind hearted mare, who likes to connect with her rider! This girl tries her heart out and aims to please, ready for pets and a gentle hand.
GG is a “been there, done that” mare. She has worked cows, gone ranching, been on pack trips, and seen many many miles of trail rides. Not to mention she is quite the good looking classic quarter horse! She is the mama to our first official CCT foal, Lux, born in March of 2024!
Blue is a super sweet guy with the looks to boot! Snuggly and sweet, his personality just cannot be beat! Check out his colorful eyes to see how he got his name.
Xena is our Big, Tall and thick Belgian mare with a history of wagon pulling and hitting the trails as a riding horse as well. She is such a sweetheart and loves a soft touch. She is slow, calm, and steady!
Rosie is a peppy bay roan mare! She has a lot of go on the trail, ready for a long day in the saddle anywhere you want her to go.
Georgia is a very gentle mare, and a very unique looking Appaloosa horse. She is perfect for any level of rider and a total sweetheart.
Dolly the pretty strawberry roan is a fan favorite in the string! She has sweetest demeanor and is one of our main, go-to gals. She can often be seen leading the way, she knows the trails so well!
Rita has been promoted to being a CCT broodmare to produce some great new trail horses for our herd with her amazing genetics, talent, and personality. In 2027, she will be having a draft cross foal that we are so excited to meet!
Cortez, our Friesian x Quarter Horse, is as handsome as they come. He is stunning and all the horses love him as much as we do. Ride our trails with our favorite ladies man!
Butler is our super large Percheron gelding. A true gentle giant! He is the most chill guy on the trail for timid riders he is a must ride! He loves & gets along so well with all his pasture mates, and is a wrangler favorite for sure! A true one of a kind draft horse!
Cinnamon has spent many years trail riding with all levels of riders. She now is the best fit for beginners and kiddos on our rides, but is still a tough boss lady in our herd!
Pepper came to us from the ranch life! His past in the cattle world makes him a dependable and smart addition to our team.
Sable is a stout, strong Belgian draft cross mare. She has been traveling the trails all over the upper US states, so knows and likes her job well with us now. Her boyfriend is Sam, so they can be seen as a duo on the trails!
Sam is a tall, lean Belgian draft gelding. He has been ridden all over the Rocky Mountains making him a very sure footed mount with a will to please kinda personality. His girlfriend is Sable, so they also can be seen together riding alongside one another on the trails!
Tahoe is our super handsome, Blue Roan, Clydesdale gelding, He is always the 1st to the gate to either just say hello to the guests and wranglers or wants some morning cuddles. He is a safe, easy to ride - follow along kinda guy and just loves to be in the herd, close to all his buddies.
Shasta is a lovely blue roan, Clydesdale mare. Her and Tahoe are the perfect match for couples that want a gorgeous, unique colored pair of big trail horses for honeymoon photos, anniversary rides or just a romantic casual riding experience! The most lovely gal around, you will want to take her home!
Durango is an alert and athletic guy with lots of love to give. He is sturdy, willing, and kind to the core and is always offering a fun and exciting ride.
Bandit is a younger horse, but has already proved himself more than trustworthy and loves taking kiddos along on the trail! His lifelong buddy is Fina, but Bandit’s kind spirit makes him a better choice for all our riders, even our youngsters or more timid guests!
Noble is an off the track thoroughbred gelding! After his track racing career, he was a youth barrel racing horse, and now that he is a bit older and no longer has a constant need for speed, he is ready to hit the trails with us. He is SO kind and in your pocket, and wants all the pets from his riders!
Jane is one of our newer and younger riding horses, but is passing every test with us so far. She is respectful, athletic, and playful, and carries herself with elegance! We are so excited to introduce her to our trails and lifestyle.
Moon came from a trail riding operation in Southern California, so is a seasoned professional! He is a pretty grey gelding, this is the life he knows, and he does his job with a friendly and social mind! He is ready to make friends with his riders and fellow herd-mates.
Fina is an energetic mustang liver chestnut mare, she rocks a mohawk haircut year-round, and is compact and built to take on the terrain. She is a strong leader and can be trusted to take care of her group, large or small.
Lovely Frozen Luxury, aka ‘Lux’ is our FIRST CCT foal! Out of our mare, Lovely Too ‘GG’, and by SG Frozen Enterprise, he is a reining bred 2024 red dun gelding that is Taylen’s future riding horse. We are excited for this performance prospect and looking forward to having him involved in team CCT adventures in the future as well.
Mamba, one of our wrangler guide horses has a ton of spunk and spice! She is an older gal, but is best suited for our experienced wrangler’s care. Say hi to this gal if she is with you leading the way!
Teton is Crystal’s personal project and love! He came to us a baby with no riding experience, and she is having so much fun starting him to ride and watching his progress unfold. His personality is bigger than life, and we cannot wait to see what his future holds in our operation. Follow along on our social media to see Teton updates as they come!
Pearla has been in our program for a long time, and likes to spend her days off with a bareback rider exploring our properties! She has a special place in our business and family, and we are expecting a May 2026 foal from out of her by 'Epic Titan'.
Sparrow is our first hand picked BLM Mustang project! She came from Augusta Mountains in Nevada, completely unhandled and we are gentling her and will be starting her under saddle as well. We have plans for her to join our string down the line, but are enjoying the slow process of mustang handling with her for the time being. We are so excited to have such a special project!
Mukua is another young BLM project from a herd in Nevada, that we plan to start under saddle. Mustangs are smart and sturdy horses and we are excited to see the potential this guy has in him! He has a lot to learn before hitting the trails with us, but watch for progress reports down the line!
Spartacus came from the Amish as a pulling cart horse! He made his way to California in a pet home, and now has a home with us. We are looking forward to retraining his original skillset and testing his driving skills for future fun!
Harlow is a Thoroughbred mare, her and her bestie Princess came to us bred to be racehorses, but have landed trail riding careers with us! They are smart, sturdy, and willing, and are proving themselves to be quick learning and trustworthy on our trails. We can’t wait to keep helping these ladies learn the ropes of our world!

Summer
Summer has been around horses all her life and now continues to compete for rodeo queen titles and ride and compete with her personal horses
Kaila
Kaila takes her horse Reno to the local beaches, trails, and sometimes he even makes a guest appearance at work!
Nathanael “Bubba”
Nathanael and his wife Teresa run a successful breeding, training, and showing performance horse program locally in Paso Robles!
Taylen
Taylen was BORN into the horse business! She is the daughter of Crystal and Brian, CCT’s owners, and she has been riding and guiding with the operation since the start.
Grace
Grace and Summer are sisters and both grew up around horses. Grace now works with a local cutting horse trainer riding and showing.
